SSAIC operates their crisis line in partnership with Saskatoon Crisis Intervention Service. SSAIC handles the calls during the day, and Saskatoon Crisis Intervention Services covers the line outside of regular business hours. This service is available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is intended for crisis use only.

What is the Sexual Assault Crisis Line?

This is a 24-hour service. If you are in crisis, calling the Crisis Line will connect you with a trained professional who will talk with you about anything from nightmares to flashbacks to recent assaults.

Who calls the Crisis Line?

We provide information, referrals, and support to anyone dealing with issues related to sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and memories of childhood sexual abuse.

Is my call confidential?

Absolutely! You can choose to remain anonymous. If you are asked for identifying information it’s for statistical data purposes and you can choose not to answer.

If you have knowledge or suspicion of the sexual abuse of a child (under 16 years of age) you have a duty to report this to the Ministry of Social Services. If you provide identifying information about a victim or perpetrator of child sexual abuse during the call, we have a duty to report to the Ministry on your behalf.

I don’t live in Saskatoon. Are there other crisis lines available in Saskatchewan?

Yes! Sexual Assault Services of Saskatchewan has up-to-date listings.
